Pregnant Shakira Prefers Charity Donations Over Baby Gifts
Heavily pregnant Shakira has asked fans to make charity donations in her honor in lieu of baby shower gifts. The Hips Don't Lie hit-maker is due to give birth to her first child any day now, and she has pro-actively reached out to devotees to request that they use their money to help those less fortunate and donate between $5 to $110 to the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF), of which she is a global ambassador.
She and her soccer star boyfriend Gerard Pique have set up a special page at shakira.socialtoaster.com for their "world baby shower to help UNICEF save children's lives."
A statement posted online reads: "To celebrate the arrival of our first child, we hope that, in his name, other less privileged children in the world can have their basic needs covered through gifts and donations. Thank you for sharing this unforgettable moment with us."
"Every expectant parent around the world shares all the same hopes and dreams for their children that we do. Yet many don't share the same opportunities. Together we know we can change that."
The Colombian beauty has also used the opportunity to unveil a series of maternity portraits, including a sexy black-and-white image in which she appears with a topless Pique as they cradle her bulging belly.
Sharing the touching photo with her Twitter.com followers, she writes, "We'd like to celebrate the imminent birth of our first child with all of you."

Shakira and her fiancé Gerard Pique have released their final image
before Shakira gives birth to their new child "Ulicito."The picture reveals Shakira's belly with Pique and the singer posing for the camera. The couple stated on Twitter that they were ready for their child and that he will be born in first days of February.
The couple revealed the pregnancy on September 19 and have since allowed their fans to follow the pregnancy through twitter by posting updates and photos. The couple also invited their fans to a virtual Baby Shower in which followers had the opportunity to donate to the organization for infants UNICEF.

The couple
met in 2010 on the set of Shakira's music video "Waka Waka" and
confirmed that they were dating in 2011 when she revealed a picture of
them on her Twitter account. The centre-back for Barcelona Pique
recently fooled fans on December 27th when he posted that the
baby had been born. However it was a "Dia de los Innocentes" joke, the
equivalent of April Fools in the United States.Shakira follows in the footsteps of such celebrities Britney Spears, Demi Moore, and Jessica Simpson who posed nude during their last few weeks of pregnancy. However unlike these others she did not pose for a magazine.

Despite protests from ISLAMIC HARDLINERS, Erwin Arnada, the magazine’s Chief Editor went ahead with his original intention. The cost of purchasing the publication licence from the Indonesian Government was reportedly to be around Rupiah 3 milliar or 3 million rupiah. But when the first issue went out on to the market, the hot-blooded males were all disappointed as it didn’t feature any nude women and not even more risque than any other men’s magazine already out on Indonesia’s streets.
Amongst those female celebrities who have been featured in the magazine so far is our very own model, AMBER CHIA (first issue), Andhara Early Astrawinata, Kartika Oktaviani Gunawan and Julie Estelle (3rd issue). Because of the PLAYBOY MAGAZINE, JULIE ESTELLE had a breakthrough in the movie industry. So far she has been on ALEXANDRIA, DEALOVA, KUNTILANAK, SELAMANYA. She’s currently dating some race driver, named MOERENO SOEPRAPTO, a brother of another INDONESIAN RACE DRIVER, ANANDA MIKOLA. Priya Vasudev Mani Iyer, better known by her stage name Priyamani is an Indian film actress and model who has appeared in several Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada films.
In 2006, Priyamani starred opposite Jagapathi Babu in the film Pellaina Kothalo, a film about a newly-wed couple. The film was a surprise hit given its low budget and modest star cast, and it propelled Priyamani to fame in Tollywood.

As a subsequent result of her extended modeling, she began to earn opportunities to star in films.

Her debut film Kangalal Kaidhu Sei in Tamil was released in 2004, and her Telugu debut, Evare Atagaadu, sank without a trace. Despite these commercial failures, she was signed by Tamil film director and cinematographer Balu Mahendra to star opposite Dhanush in the 2005 drama Adhu Oru Kana Kaalam. She won tremendous acclaim for her performance in the film, but the film's under-performance meant that box office success still eluded her.
